Key Staff Profiles
Gary Fohl
Gary has over 30 years of experience as a Structural Engineering professional providing Documentation & Consulting services to the Steel and Concrete segments of the industry. His directive has always been delivering profitable, risk reduced projects.
He has been actively involved in developing pioneering workflows and projects since the beginning of BIM concepts in the mid-nineties and has worked directly with innovators in software and building technologies.
From his beginnings of loading time & cost data into Tekla models and scheduling just-in-time deliveries on the Soldier Field renovations, to developing projection methods for locating rebar in precast panel moulds, to using model data for driving production equipment at Butler Systems, to integrating virtual pre-construction walk-throughs for establishing risk reduction methods during Christchurch Rebuild projects, he has always been at the forefront.
His current focus is on exploiting Common Data Environments to best distribute information to ALL members of the construction team; the time it takes for a design decision to reach a Welder on the Shop Floor should be measured in hours not days, and the Field Crew should know they need a welding machine on the 5th floor BEFORE they walk up with their pouches full of bolts.
Tinashe Dzimiri
Tinashe, a Structural Engineering Technician and holder of a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from Harare Polytechnic, brings 5 years of valuable experience in construction and structural consultancy from Zimbabwe.
His knowledge in structural detailing and design comes from his time working for Dickie and Kunaka Consulting Engineers specialising in 2D concrete detailing and production of layout drawings for both concrete and steel.
Additionally, he worked for Pat Dunn and Co for 4 years specialising in Structural Design and 3D modelling, site supervision & inspection, preparation of Material Bills, quotations, and engineering reports. He was involved in a variety of large projects in Zimbabwe such as the Boshoff Drive Warehouse, Mbudzi Round Warehouse, Probottlers Steel Warehouse and Olivine Boiler.
